Parallel Authentication Modes Based on Double Blocks or Key Counter

Huang Yuhua,Huai Aiqun,Song Yubo

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 7,   Pages 70-74

Abstract:

The CBC - MAC mode is not a parallel one. A parallel authentication mode (PKCB) based on double blocks was put forward in this paper. The PKCB mode had a marked improvement on security & speed over parallel authentication mode, PMAC. And it may be combined with the CTR (counter) encryption mode to form a full block cipher mode. On this ground, another parallel authentication mode (KCTR - MAC) based on key counter was advanced. As compared with the PMAC mode, the KCTR - MAC mode had a marked improvement on security, while its speed did not become lower. The KCTR - MAC authentication mode may be combined with the CTR (counter) encryption mode to form a full block cipher mode (2CTR),too. The 2CTR mode had a performance advantage over the standard mode, CCM (CTR with CBC - MAC). And it was a fast, practicable mode with security.

A Fast Evaluation and Research Method for Exploration Potential of Oversea Basins

Hong-quan Kang,Yun-hua Deng,Huai-cun Jia,Tao Cheng,Bo Bai

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2016, Volume 3, Issue 4,   Pages 338-342 doi: 10.15302/J-FEM-2016052

Abstract: Oversea hydrocarbon exploration always faces some problems, such as multiple basin types, different exploration prospects, various exploration degrees, diverse data quantities and geological recognitions. This paper focuses on overseas basins with different exploration degrees and offers a new evaluation system and research method for fast evaluation and risk analysis on hydrocarbon potential. Based on the theory of probability, this new evaluation system evaluates each parameter and core accumulation factor with comprehensive and quantitative assignment, to accelerate geological evaluation. In addition, this paper suggests that source rock evaluation should be the core criterion in screening evaluation of poor-explored basins, and also proposes that both the exploration potential and geological recognition should drive the evaluation for basins with high exploration degrees. This new system and method, which is an effective system for fast basin evaluation, is suggested to be used in oversea evaluation and decision-making objectively, scientifically and efficiently.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2015, Volume 16, Issue 8,   Pages 654-657 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500082

Abstract: This paper is a continuation of our previous work (Zhang and Chen, 2010b). Following the same general steps of the proof there, we make essential improvement on our previous theorem by recalculating a key inequality. Our result shows that the Marcinkiewicz integral, with a bounded radial function in its kernel, is still bounded on the Triebel-Lizorkin space.

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering 2012, Volume 6, Issue 5,   Pages 725-733 doi: 10.1007/s11783-012-0441-8

Abstract: Submicron aerosol particles (with aerodynamic diameters less than 1 μm, PM ) were sampled and measured in Heshan, an urban outflow site of Guangzhou megacity in Pearl River Delta in South China, using an Aerodyne High-Resolution Time-of-Flight Aerosol Mass Spectrometer (HR-ToF-AMS) in November 2010 during 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. The mean PM mass concentration measured was 47.9±17.0 μg·m during the campaign, with organic aerosol (OA) and sulfate being the two dominant species, accounting for 36.3% and 20.9% of the total mass, respectively, followed by black carbon (17.1%, measured by an aethalometer), nitrate (12.9%), ammonium (9.6%) and chloride (3.1%). The average size distributions of the species (except black carbon) were dominated by an accumulation mode peaking at ~550 nm. Calculations based on high-resolution organic mass spectrum showed that, C, H, O and N on average contributed 58.1%, 7.3%, 30.7%, and 3.9% to the total organic mass, respectively. The average ratio of organic mass over organic carbon mass (OM/OC) was 1.73±0.08. Four components of OA were identified by the Positive Matrix Factorization (PMF) analysis, including a hydrocarbon-like (HOA), a biomass burning (BBOA) and two oxygenated (SV-OOA and LV-OOA) organic aerosol components, which on average accounted for 18.0%, 14.3%, 28.8% and 38.9% of the total organic mass, respectively.

Jun CAI, Xiulan HUAI, Shiqiang LIANG, Xunfeng LI,

Frontiers in Energy 2010, Volume 4, Issue 3,   Pages 313-318 doi: 10.1007/s11708-009-0064-3

Abstract: An experimental study was conducted to investigate the effects of acoustic cavitation on natural convective heat transfer from a horizontal circular tube. The experimental results indicated that heat transfer could be enhanced by acoustic cavitation and had the best effect when the head of the ultrasonic transducer was over the midpoint of the circular tube, and the distance between the head and the tube equaled 15 mm. The augmentation at low heat flux was better than that in the case of high heat flux. Based on experimental results, the correlation formula of Nusselt number for water was obtained.

Frontiers of Medicine 2007, Volume 1, Issue 3,   Pages 258-263 doi: 10.1007/s11684-007-0049-8

Abstract: To study the pathological and histochemical characteristics of lesions in piglet livers infected with () throughout the different stages, piglets were fed with eggs of and raised in isolation in an animal center to establish the infection model with normal piglets as control. The pathological changes in the piglet livers were observed after the infection using liver sections stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Histochemical methods were used to check the changes in lipid, glycogen and protein content in the liver. The data collected by image analysis were analyzed statistically with Statistical Package for the Social Science. The results show that -exposed piglets were indeed infected. Inflammatory reactions began on the fourth day and progressed rapidly. Kupffer cell hyperplasia, hepatic hydropic degeneration and ballooning degeneration were found in the 10th 20th days after infection. Hepatic central veins and hepatic sinusoids were dilated and congested. Spotty necrosis occurred in some local liver tissues. In the 40th–60th days, granulomatous reactions and mild hepatocirrhosis were the main lesions. In the 70th–80th days, hepatocirrhosis and bile duct proliferation were observed in the liver. In the different stages, lipid drops were increased while glycogen and protein levels were decreased to some degree. There was a significant difference in metabolism between the infected group and the control group (〈0.01). It is concluded that pigs are the favorable intermediate host of and its infection can result in serious pathological and histochemical lesions in host organs.

Digital Readout System for Micromachined Gyroscope and Analysis for its Demodulation Algorithm

ZHOU Bin, GAO Zhong-yu, CHEN Huai, ZHANG Rong, CHEN Zhi-yong

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2006, Volume 1, Issue 1,   Pages 106-110 doi: 10.1007/s11465-005-0016-5

Abstract:

A new digital readout system for micromachined gyroscope has been proposed to implement flexible parameter adjustment, improve the control performance of gyroscope, and make error compensation. By digitalizing the output of the gyroscope, this system uses a floating-type digital signal processor (DSP) to process the signal demodulation and achieve the feedback control of the gyroscope. Therefore, the small change of capacitance in the micromachined gyroscope can be detected. A new demodulation algorithm of least mean square demodulation (LMSD) has been developed inside DSP. Simulation and measurement results show that LMSD can improve 29% of the noise performance compared with the typical multiplication method. In air pressure, a kind of vibration-wheel micromachined gyroscope has achieved a noise level of 0.0073 deg s-1z(z-1/2 over the 100-Hz bandwidth by using this digital readout technology.

A novel period estimation method for X-ray pulsars based on frequency subdivision

Li-rong SHEN,Xiao-ping LI,Hai-feng SUN,Hai-yan FANG,Meng-fan XUE

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2015, Volume 16, Issue 10,   Pages 858-870 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500052

Abstract: Period estimation of X-ray pulsars plays an important role in X-ray pulsar based navigation (XPNAV). The fast Lomb periodogram is suitable for period estimation of X-ray pulsars, but its performance in terms of frequency resolution is limited by data length and observation time. Longer observation time or oversampling can be employed to improve frequency analysis results, but with greatly increased computational complexity and large amounts of sampling data. This greatly restricts real-time autonomous navigation based on X-ray pulsars. To resolve this issue, a new method based on frequency subdivision and the continuous Lomb periodogram (CLP) is proposed to improve precision of period estimation using short-time observation data. In the proposed method, an initial frequency is first calculated using fast Lomb periodogram. Then frequency subdivision is performed near the initial frequency to obtain frequencies with higher precision. Finally, a refined period is achieved by calculating the CLP in the obtained frequencies. Real data experiments show that when observation time is shorter than 135 s, the proposed method improves period estimation precision by 1–3 orders of magnitude compared with the fast Lomb periodogram and fast Fourier transform (FFT) methods, with only a slight increase in computational complexity. Furthermore, the proposed method performs better than efsearch (a period estimation method of HEAsoft) with lower computational complexity. The proposed method is suitable for estimating periods of X-ray pulsars and obtaining the rotation period of variable stars and other celestial bodies.

Xiao-wei LIU, Rui WENG, Hai LI, Hai-feng ZHANG

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2017, Volume 18, Issue 9,   Pages 1430-1436 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1600035

Abstract: Rotating speed is a critical parameter affecting the performanceof rotor gyroscopes. Rotor gyroscopes must operate at the rated rotatingspeed. To shorten the start time of the ball-disk rotor gyroscope, this paper presents a new design of the drive system for a ball-diskrotor gyroscope. The drive system is monitored by a microcontroller.First, the microcontroller generates a sine pulse width modulationsignal to drive the permanent magnet rotor. Second, the position ofthe rotor is detected according to the back electromotive force inthe non-energized coil. Third, a piecewise closed-loop control algorithmis implemented to keep the angular acceleration of the rotor withinthe safe range automatically during the acceleration process and whenrunning at a constant speed. This control algorithm can avoid rotorstalling due to loss of steps. Experimental result shows that withthe help of adaptive quick-start technique, the start time of thedevice can be shortened by up to 36.6%.
